1. The UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust will be conducting a Dependent Audit on all members with dependent children ages 19 to 26 yrs old. The types of documentation needed to support the audit will be proof of residency, 1040 Federal Tax Return and the child’s birth certificate. The timeline will be:

• Alert Post Card--------------------------------Mid June
• Verification letter----------------------------End of June
• Reminder letter------------------------------Mid July
• Deadline to return documents-----------July 30, 2011
• Termination Notice-------------------------Early September

2. Approximately two thousands members, both active and retired, call Benefit Express monthly for non-emergent inquires. Benefit Express is conducting an Outbound Caller Project, that will target retirees who call frequently about their pension checks. The message will advise the retirees that their pension check has been either processed, or processed and deposited, and that there is nothing further they need to do in this process.

3. The Cholesterol-lowering drug Lipitor is one of the world’s top-selling and most commonly prescribed drug. Lipitor is also, one of the top prescribed medications for Trust members and is scheduled to go off-patent November 30th this year. A lower cost equivalent will become available this fall. The Trust and Medco are working closely together to make sure that all members are made aware of this lower cost drug as soon as it becomes available
