Election Day
Nominations and elections are held for the executive board of the International union.

The hall is decorated with thousands of balloons. Recognition to Lloyd Mahaffey.

A farewell to President Ron Gettlefinger. Joined on stage by his family

Vice President Bob King and Gary Walkowicz and bargaining committeeman from Local 600 from
Ford in Dearborn,
Michigan. Each accepted nomination for election.

Our own, Yvette Gordon had the priveledge to nominate General Holiefield for Vice President
Chrysler Division. Which he currently held.
 
Following the nominations the convention floor proceeded into a roll call vote for the office of president.
The voting began by roll call going in numeric number. Each local could either cast all their votes in a
block or the delegates could vote individually. The election proceeded with the final total being 2115
for Bob King and 71 for Walkowicz. Our own, Linda Nuendorfer was on hand to help in the count of the
delgate votes needed to vote in our new president. Bob King will be sworn on as the next President of
